Ayia Napa

Caves, Cape Greco

Caves, Cape Greco is a coastal Mediterranean dive site near Protaras, Ayia Napa and Paralimni with easy access from the southeast coast of Cyprus. The site features a system of sea caves and rocky shelves formed by limestones along a gentle slope to deeper water. Entry is typically from a sheltered shore or via a slight swim from a rocky ledge, with visibility commonly modest to good in calm conditions. Divers explore short swim-throughs and archways inside the cave system, often ending in open water with panoramic views of the coastline. The area hosts typical eastern Mediterranean life, such as damselfish, wrasse, gobies, octopus and parrotfish, with a healthy mix of sponges and soft corals in crevices. Currents are usually mild, making it suitable for beginner to intermediate divers when sea conditions allow.
