Cap L’abeille

Cap l’Abeille is a local dive site off the rocky coast near Banyuls-sur-Mer. It features a gentle to moderate depth profile with sloping rocky bottoms and rocky blocks that gradually lead to small overhangs and ledges. The site is accessible to intermediate divers and is commonly dove in calm seas with clear visibility. Expect a Mediterranean marine environment typical of the western Mediterranean, with habitats around rocky substrates, sea fans, and typical coastal species such as groupers, wrasse, with moray eels and octopus occasionally noted. There is no large wreck on the site; dives focus on topography, nooks, and macro life along the contours. Access is from the shore or a short boat ride from the nearby towns, with nearby centers offering shore and boat dives. The site is close to Banyuls-sur-Mer and within a short reach of Cerbère and Port-Vendres for logistics.
