Banco Di Santa Croce

Banco di Santa Croce is a shallow to mid-depth dive site off the Sorrento coast near Naples. The site is typically approached from the coast and features a sloping seabed with occasional rocky outcrops and sand patches. Visibility is often moderate to good, with calm conditions typical in sheltered bays; currents are usually mild and divers should plan for a relaxed drift or in-situ navigation along the slope. The area around Vico Equense and Castellammare di Stabia provides access to nearby dive centers and boat operators. Common Mediterranean species in these waters include groupers, brown meagre, damselfishes, and octopus, with posidonia meadows on sandy bottoms contributing to the habitat structure. The Banco di Santa Croce is suitable for beginner to intermediate divers and can offer easy navigation along the slope and occasional macro sightings.
