Amphion

Amphion is a compact freshwater dive site in the western Swiss-French lake region, near Amphion-les-Bains. It typically features calm, clear waters with gentle depths suitable for training and basic recreational dives. Access is straightforward from nearby towns, and the site offers a mellow environment with shoreline entry and a shallow, mixed-bottom topography. Divers commonly explore grassy or rocky substrates, with typical lake species such as perches and other freshwater fish common to European lakes. The calm conditions and proximity to Thonon-les-Bains and Saint-Prex make it a practical option for a day of shallow, relaxed diving, especially for beginners or warm-up dives before exploring deeper lake zones.
