Ada Ciganlija Smokvica

Ada Ciganlija–Smokvica is a freshwater diving site located on a riverine lake area near Belgrade. It comprises a shallow, urban lake with mixed bottoms of sandy and vegetated zones and small underwater features created by sand patches and submerged structures from the recreational lake system. Depths are typically shallow, making it suitable for training and macro or muck-style dives around sunken features and aquatic plants. Visibility varies with weather and season, generally modest in the summer and better in cooler months. Expect common freshwater species such as perch, carp, and various minnows, plus aquatic plants like reed beds and submerged vegetation. The site is easily accessible from Belgrade and nearby municipalities, and is popular for pool-to-dive progression and rescue/entry-level training close to the city.
