Copenhagen

Copenhagen sits on the Øresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden, and while it is a major urban center, it is not a traditional coastal scuba destination. Diving in the area is generally limited to nearby day trips and training options. Within the city, most diving activity revolves around courses and confined-water practice at local centers or pools. Freshwater quarry and lake diving opportunities exist further afield in Denmark, but they are outside the urban core. For divers visiting Copenhagen, the city serves as a gateway to the Danish coast and to exposure through nearby dive centers and scheduled trips to nearby reefs and wrecks in the Kattegat and Baltic regions.
