Colombia is a Caribbean-focused scuba destination, with most diving concentrated on the north coast and the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia, and Santa Catalina. Divers typically find warm tropical water, good year-round access, and reefs and offshore drop-offs around the islands. Along the Caribbean coast (for example around San Onofre), dives are generally sea-based and can offer a mix of reef and coastal scenery, with conditions varying by season and weather. Overall, Colombia’s best-known diving is in the Caribbean; elsewhere, options are more limited compared with the island bases.
