Campinas is a major inland city in São Paulo state and not a coastal diving destination. While the city itself sits far from the ocean, the surrounding region offers freshwater diving opportunities in lakes and quarry sites within a few hours’ drive. For diving, most travelers base themselves elsewhere or plan day trips to nearby freshwater sites, with a limited local diving scene consisting mainly of training and skill development at a nearby center.
