Exmouth is a coastal town in Western Australia that serves as a gateway to the region’s excellent diving, notably Ningaloo Reef. While the town itself is small, it provides access to world-class dive sites such as coral reefs offshore, seasonal whale shark encounters, and manta rays. A couple of dive centers operate locally, offering car–boat trips, courses, and equipment rental. Conditions are generally warm and clear with moderate currents; visibility varies with the season. For freshwater options, the town is not a inland diving spot, so most diving activity centers on saltwater reef and pelagic encounters offshore.
