Yokohama is a major port city near Tokyo, not a diving hotspot itself. It offers coastal access and serves as a gateway to nearby dive opportunities along the Kanagawa coast and wider Kanto region. While the city itself has limited diving activity, a number of dive centers operate in the broader area or in nearby coastal towns, offering training and day trips to nearby reefs or wrecks. Freshwater options are localized to inland lakes in the region, but Yokohama’s strength is as a transport hub with easy access to dive sites on weekends or during layovers.
