Tioman

Tiger Reef

Tiger Reef is a tropical reef site located off Tioman Island. It features a sloping coral garden with patchy hard corals, sea fan fields, and a healthy variety of reef inhabitants. Depths commonly range from shallow checkpoints around 5–12 meters, with occasional deeper sections to about 18 meters where the reef drops to sandy slopes. The site is suitable for beginner to intermediate divers, with easy entry from a gentle beach or small boats and typically calm conditions, depending on wind. Expect typical Western Pacific reef life, including damselfish, angelfish, parrotfish, fusiliers, and occasional larger groupers or reef sharks in the area. Navigation is straightforward along the reef crest, with opportunities for macro critters in the rubble zones. Good visibility is common in clear seasons, and currents are usually mild, making this a relaxed, enjoyable dive for training and fun dives alike.
