Leon’s Wall
Leon’s Wall is a wall dive along a reef rim in tropical Indian Ocean waters. Access is straightforward from coastal dive centers in the Kendwa–Nungwi area, with shallow entry points that lead to a vertical drop-off. Depths commonly range from the upper meters down to around 30–40 meters, making it suitable for intermediate-level divers with appropriate training. The site features a near-vertical wall lined with corals, gorgonians, and a variety of reef fish such as wrasse, parrotfish, and damsels, with occasional sightings of bigger reef inhabitants near the base. Strong currents can occur, so plan dives with a local guide and use reef-safe practices. The surrounding area offers typical tropical seascape, with clear water and good visibility on many days. Access is convenient for divers based in Kendwa or Nungwi, roughly a 10–20 minute transfer depending on boat and conditions.
