Canyon

Canyon is a local Mediterranean dive site near Santo Stefano al Mare, Sanremo, and Caramagnetta. The site features a submarine topography with a deepening gully and rocky walls that create a canyon-like feature a short distance from the coastline. Entry is typically from a shore or small boat, with easy to moderate currents depending on conditions. Depths commonly range from shallow reef-like zones to deeper sections suitable for experienced divers; verify local guidance for depth limits on the day of dive. The area supports typical Western Mediterranean life such as groupers, Moray eels, octopus, and various reef fish, with posidonia meadows nearby in clearer patches. The site is popular for drift and wall-dive experiences when sea conditions allow, offering opportunities for observing macro organisms and scenic swim-throughs along the canyon walls.
