🇲🇲 Myanmar

Myanmar is a small but growing scuba destination, with diving concentrated along the country’s far south coast in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand (Tanintharyi Region). Most dives are done on offshore islands and coastal reefs, where you can typically expect warm tropical water, a mix of coral growth and sandy areas, and seasonal changes in visibility. Conditions vary a lot through the monsoon period, with stronger winds and rougher seas at certain times of year, so boat days can be impacted. Compared with nearby dive hubs, the overall infrastructure is more limited, and operators tend to focus on a smaller number of accessible islands and day trips, plus occasional multi-day excursions.
