Ubatuba

Ubatuba is a coastal administrative region in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The area is known for its scenic Atlantic coast and a variety of nearshore dive environments, with many access points from the town of Ubatuba. Diving within this territorial boundary focuses on warm tropical waters, sandy to rocky bottoms, and relatively moderate visibility, with local currents that can vary seasonally. The region includes a number of popular beach fronts and provides a gateway to nearby offshore sites and marine life typical of the South Atlantic, though the district itself has a limited number of dedicated dive centers and sites; many divers combine local shore entries with boat trips to surrounding areas.
