Kula

Kula is a rural town on the island of Maui, Hawaii. It sits at high elevation on the leeward slopes of Haleakalā, far from coastlines and direct ocean access. There isn’t a local scuba scene in town, and diving options are limited to the broader Maui area, where offshore sites, reefs, and marine life can be reached via day trips from coastal towns. If you’re visiting for scenery or hiking, you’ll find the inland environment appealing, but the city itself is not a diving hub. For diving, plan to travel to coastal Maui towns or other parts of Hawaii with established dive centers and offshore sites.
