Deira

Deira is a coastal district in Dubai, UAE, adjacent to the Persian Gulf. It supports a small but active diving scene focused on access to nearby dive sites along the Persian Gulf, with a few local dive centers offering courses and gear rental. While Deira itself is urban and not a major dive hub, easy road access and proximity to reputed dive destinations in the Dubai area make it a practical gateway for day trips and introductory dives. The city does not have freshwater diving nearby, so most diving opportunities are offshore or at nearby coral reefs and wrecks reachable by boat from larger hubs in the emirate.
