Carouge

Carouge is a small city in the Geneva region, just outside the main lakefront area. It is not a diving hub itself, and there are no local sea dives. Nearby diving access is primarily through the larger Lake Geneva region, where freshwater diving centers offer training and occasional site dives around the lake. For divers visiting the area, the practical route is to base from Geneva or surrounding towns and arrange day trips to freshwater quarries or lake dives within reachable distance, or join a nearby dive center for courses. Expect cool to cold freshwater conditions in winter and summer water temps that vary, with clear visibility typical of alpine lakes on good days. The region is more known for culture, cuisine, and proximity to alpine scenery than for immediate coastal diving.
