Castelldefels

Castelldefels is a coastal town in Catalonia, near Barcelona, with access to the Balearic Sea. It’s primarily a beach destination with a handful of local dive centers serving day trips to nearby reefs and coastal sites along the Catalan coast. Diving options are modest here, with limited in-town dive sites; most divers travel a short distance to larger dive hubs along the coast for more varied reef setups, visibility and dive variety. The presence of Banyoles Lake in the region offers freshwater training options but is not in the immediate city area. Overall, Castelldefels functions more as a gateway to Catalonia’s diving scene than a major dive center itself.
