Ansan is a coastal city in Gyeonggi Province, near Incheon, with access to the Yellow Sea. The city itself isn’t a major diving hub, and diving activity is more commonly pursued in nearby coastal areas and offshore sites along the Incheon and Yellow Sea coast. With a few local dive centers in the wider region, divers typically base themselves for day trips to nearby shallow reefs, wrecks, and coastal formations, while water conditions are temperate and can be influenced by seasonal winds. For freshwater diving, there are limited options in the broader area; most diving in this region focuses on saltwater sites along the western coast.
