South Korea

Gangwon State

Gangwon State offers diverse diving along the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula, with access to cold-water dives in the Yellow Sea and offshore sites along the North Pacific edge. The region features rocky nearshore habitats, kelp and macroalgae in cooler seasons, and limited shallow shore diving. Dive centers are concentrated along the coast, serving local divers with access to boat trips to deeper water and nearby islands. Note: the only listed subdivision here is Yangyang-gun, which provides gateway access to several coastal dive spots and marine life typical of temperate East Asian waters.
