Saltwater
Gulf Of Riga
The Gulf of Riga, situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, borders Latvia and Estonia. This gulf features mostly brackish waters due to the mixing of freshwater and seawater. The diving opportunities are limited, with few dedicated dive sites in the area. The marine life includes various species typical of brackish environments, but visibility can be poor compared to more saline waters. Access to the gulf is easy through the cities of Riga and Pärnu, making it a convenient spot for locals but not a prime destination for serious divers.
