Østfold is a coastal administrative region in Norway with overall access to shallow, temperate saltwater along the Skagerrak. The region’s dive activity is limited by few notable dive sites and small centers; visibility and currents are typical of sheltered Norwegian coastal conditions. With centers near Moss and nearby towns, divers can access shore entries and local boat dives when weather permits, but the area is not widely known as a major diving region. Inland settlements and freshwater bodies contribute to the region’s outdoor appeal beyond diving.
