Tutukaka

Tutukaka is a coastal town in the Whangārei District of New Zealand, best known as a gateway to excellent diving along the Poor Knights Islands and the wider Tutukaka Coast. While the town itself sits close to the water, the diving action is centered offshore and at nearby sites reachable by boat. There is limited local diving directly in town, with a single dive center serving visitors and providing access to boat dives, equipment rental, and courses. For divers, the region offers clear, cool South Pacific waters, abundant reef fish, and the chance to explore protected marine reserves a short boat ride away.
