Expect freshwater rivers, occasional springs, and relatively sheltered conditions in the region, with more advanced or longer trips typically tied to wider Auckland/Hauraki Gulf area. Access is convenient from Hamilton and Cambridge, with outdoor activities and scenic coastlines dominating the area.
