Hastings

Hastings is a landlocked city in Hawke's Bay on the North Island of New Zealand. It is not a coastal diving destination, so diving activity in the city itself is limited. Nearby coastal access exists along the central-north-east coast of the North Island, but within Hastings proper there are no offshore dive sites. The single local dive center serves divers with courses and equipment, and nearby freshwater or coastal options would be pursued outside the city for dives. For divers, Hastings is more of a gateway to the broader Hawke's Bay region and the wider North Island dive opportunities.
