Bandidhoo

Bandidhoo is a coastal atoll village in the Maldives, part of South Nilandhe (Faafu) Atoll in the Indian Ocean. The atoll ecosystem surrounds the narrow island with lagoons and traditional Maldivian hamlets. There are no large urban dive hubs in the village itself, but the Maldives are renowned for house reefs, clear warm waters, and easy access from local guesthouses or live-aboard departures that serve nearby dive sites. With 31 known dive sites in the broader area, most diving is accessed through neighboring atolls and resort-based centers. For visitors, you’ll typically arrange boat dives from local dhoni or resort boats to manta, reef, and wall sites, depending on the day’s conditions. Visibility is generally good, and marine life includes reef fish, rays, turtles, and seasonal pelagics, with underwater topography featuring lagoons, channels, and coral reefs.
