Maakurathu

Maakurathu is a small atoll village in the Raa Atoll, Maldives, in the Indian Ocean. It isn’t a major diving hub; the atoll in general is known for its clear lagoons and tropical scenery rather than high-profile dive sites. With only a couple of local dive centers and no documented on-site dive sites, the area serves more as a gateway for local guests and nearby atolls where diving is common. Visitors typically access broader Maldivian reef experiences via neighboring atolls or resort-based centers, where boats go out to house reefs, pinnacles, and manta or turtle encounters depending on the season.
