Alifu Alifu Atoll

Alifu Alifu Atoll is a Maldivian administrative atoll in the Laccadive Sea, part of the northern Ari Atolls chain in the Indian Ocean. The region is characterized by atoll geography, clear tropical waters, and shallow lagoons with outer channels that attract manta rays and reef fish. Access is primarily by sea plane or boat from Malé; many dive operations base themselves across the atoll’s inhabited islands and resort islands. While diving here is primarily offered at nearby atolls and islands, the area serves as a hub for lagoon reef encounters, wall dives, and drift conditions along the coral fringes. With two local inhabited islands listed as access points (Mathiveri and Thoddoo), the region benefits from local guesthouses and boat support for day trips to adjacent reef patches and channels.
