Kudat is a coastal town in Sabah, Malaysia, serving as a gateway to the northern Sabah coastline and the Sulu Sea. It is not a major diving hub, and there are no notable dive sites directly in town. Nearby diving options are limited compared with the bigger Malaysian diving hubs, and most diving activity in the region tends to be accessed from more developed centers along the Sabah coast. Practically, divers visiting Kudat usually base themselves for other regional exploration or combine a trip with inland sights, rather than for destination diving from Kudat itself.
