Portici is a town in Campania near Naples and the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is not a major diving hub, and direct coastal diving access is limited compared to nearby coastal cities. The area offers nearby access points along the Tyrrhenian coast, and a couple of local dive centers help with training and local excursions. For divers, the best options are day trips from Naples or nearby coastal towns to reach reefs and wreck sites along the Tyrrhenian coast, or freshwater options may be available in regional quarries, but the city itself is more of a cultural and coastal gateway than a primary diving destination.
