Gyékényes

Gyékényes is a small town in southwest Hungary near the Croatian border. Because Hungary is landlocked, there is no local sea diving. The area offers access to freshwater diving options in the broader region, such as inland quarries or lakes in Central Europe, but these are not in-city and are used mainly for training or weekend trips. For divers, Gyékényes serves as a practical gateway to regional travel and a potential base for exploring inland diving opportunities further afield, or for transit to the nearby border areas.
