Kokkino Chorio

Kokkino Chorio is a small village on the northwest coast of Crete, Greece. It is not a primary diving hub, but its proximity to the northern Cretan coast gives access to a variety of dive sites in the Aegean Sea. Local diving options are spread through nearby coastal towns where the majority of centers operate day trips to reefs, walls, and caverns. Given there are a few dive sites in the broader region, divers visiting Kokkino Chorio typically base themselves in nearby towns for day boat dives or contribute to shore excursions along the coast. The area is known more for its scenic landscape and local culture than for a blockbuster number of in-city dive centers.
