Chalkidiki Regional Unit spans a peninsular region in northern Greece, known for its many headlands and dotted islets that create sheltered bays and diverse dive opportunities along the Aegean coast. The area is primarily accessed from regional hubs such as nearby Thessaloniki and coastal towns, with dive centers serving both shore and boat dives to shallow reefs, walls, and the shallower bays. Marine life includes typical Aegean species like small groupers, moray eels, Mediterranean nudibranchs, and octopus, with visibility depending on season and conditions. Because this is an administrative region, the diving character is shaped by multiple sites around Kassandra and Sithonia, rather than a single feature-rich destination.
