Hanover is inland in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is not a coastal dive hub; the city itself has no local sea access. Nearby freshwater diving is limited and typically occurs at quarry-like sites or lakes in the region, but these are outside the city and not major dive destinations. If diving continuity is desired, travelers usually use air connections to coastal cities with dive centers along the North Sea or Baltic coast, or plan freshwater dives in regional training sites only if visiting for courses or skill practice.
