Parthenay

Parthenay is inland in western France, not a diving hotspot. The town sits on the Scarpe river in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region with an elevation of about 140 meters. There isn’t local saltwater diving access, and diving activity is minimal in the city itself. Nearby freshwater options are limited and mainly used for training or leisure by a few local divers, rather than as destination diving. For divers, Parthenay serves as a practical gateway to the broader region, where coastal dive hubs along the Bay of Biscay and Atlantic coast are reachable within a few hours by car.
