Ardèche is an inland administrative region in central-southeast France. It has no marine diving of its own; diving activities are focused around nearby coastal regions of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes area and the broader Mediterranean coastline. The region features rivers and lakes ideal for freshwater diving opportunities and training in calm environments, while most dive sites of interest for international divers are located along the adjacent Mediterranean coast, within a reasonable travel radius. Expect scenic rivers, gorges, and local outdoor activities rather than offshore reef or wreck diving within Ardèche itself.
