Uusimaa

Uusimaa is a coastal region of southern Finland along the Gulf of Finland, with access to a mix of brackish to saltwater environments and several urban and seaside dive hubs. The region offers shore dives from Helsinki and nearby towns, with moderate visibility and cool, temperate conditions. Dive sites are generally calm and access-driven, featuring submerged rocks, piers, and harbour walls typical of northern Baltic diving. Marine life includes small fish, crustaceans, and macro photography subjects, with experience appropriate for shore and boat diving around the Helsinki metro area. Inland freshwater opportunities exist in the wider region, but the notable diving Iocations are coastal and marine-influenced rather than open-ocean extrapolations.
