Salpakangas is a small locality in southern Finland. It is not a coastal diving destination itself, but the Gulf of Finland to the south provides access to freshwater and brackish conditions via nearby lakes and coastal areas within driving distance. With limited local dive infrastructure (the record shows a couple of nearby dive sites and no active centers in town), divers typically base themselves in larger nearby towns for courses and boat trips, or explore freshwater sites in the wider Päijät-Häme region if they are specifically seeking local training or short freshwater dives.
