Las Terrenas

Las Terrenas is a coastal town in the Samaná region of the Dominican Republic and a popular gateway for Caribbean snorkeling and coastal diving. While the area itself is more known for beaches and cultural charm, nearby reefs and dive centers along the Samana coast offer access to Caribbean Sea sites. The town serves as a base for day trips to surrounding reefs and is convenient for divers staying in the region, with a couple of local dive centers providing gear, instruction, and boat departures. Water is warm and generally clear, with typical Caribbean reef fish and occasional larger pelagics a possibility on certain sites.
