La Cueva

La Cueva is a coastal town in Pedernales Province near the Dominican Republic’s southern Atlantic coast. The area is known more for its natural scenery and access to the neighboring beaches and mountainous landscapes than for a dedicated dive scene within the town itself. The Dominican Republic hosts Caribbean Sea diving along many coastal areas, but La Cueva itself has no established dive centers, and nearby diving opportunities are typically found at more developed coastal hubs along the Pedernales region or further west along the Samaná/La Romana corridors. If you’re visiting, you’ll likely plan trips to nearby dive sites from established centers farther afield or consider freshwater or coastal snorkeling experiences if available locally.
