Wildlife Reef

Wildlife Reef is a shallow reef dive site commonly accessed from coastal bases within the study area. It offers calm conditions suitable for beginner and intermediate divers, with typical visibility varying seasonally. The reef structure features gently sloping approaches and mid‑water bommies nearby, hosting standard Western Atlantic tropical reef life, including small reef fish, parrotfish, tangs, snappers, and occasional juvenile larger species. Currents are usually mild, making it a suitable site for relaxed dives or practice sessions. Access is straightforward from nearby towns and dive centers, with the reef located within easy reach from West Bay, George Town, and the surrounding area.
