Sankt Gilgen
Weißenbacheinlauf
Weißenbacheinlauf is a shallow freshwater dive site located near the Attersee in Austria. The site is formed by a narrow inlet where the stream feeds into the lake, creating a sheltered environment with gentle currents and calm conditions suitable for beginners. Visibility is typically moderate, and the bottom consists of sandy and gravelly substrates with patches of aquatic vegetation. Expect typical freshwater lake species such as small perch, rudd, minnows, and invertebrates, with occasional larger asp or pike in surrounding areas. The site is easily accessed from nearby towns and is often used for training and relaxed drift dives along the inlet edges.
