Turtle Canyon is a popular drift dive site off Oahu, located near Waikiki. The wrecks and lava formations create a shallow to mid-depth wall with easy current, making it suitable for experienced drift divers and those comfortable with light current. Typical conditions include clear tropical water, good visibility, and a metal anchor at the canyon entrance. Expect encounters with a variety of reef fish, turtles, and occasional rays; the site lies in saltwater near Honolulu, with nearby access from city dive centers. Entry is from a boat, with a current-assisted descent along the reef edge and a drift back toward the open ocean. Training and supervised dives are common, but divers should have buoyancy and current awareness. The area is close to central Honolulu and East Honolulu, within a short drive from town, and not far from the Waianae coast access points.
