Turtle Bluffs

Turtle Bluffs is a coastal Hawaii dive site featuring shallow coral reefs and a sloping ledge that drops toward sand at depth. The site is popular for gentle drift conditions along the reef and occasional current guides, making it accessible for beginner to intermediate divers with proper buoyancy control. Expect a mix of hard corals, reef fish, and occasional green sea turtles that browse the surrounding reef. Depths commonly range from the shallow edge near 5–12 meters down to around 18 meters where the bottom shelves into sandy channels. Access is straightforward from nearby beaches with a vehicle-friendly shoreline and calm, clear tropical water typical of the region. Nearby towns such as Koloa and Poipu provide base amenities and can serve as reference points for planning dives. This site is best suited for daylight dives when visibility is good and seas are calm.
