Tartaruga

Tartaruga is a local coastal dive site near Albufeira, Armação de Pêra and Pêra on the Algarve coast. The site lies within easy reach of these towns, roughly 10–20 minutes by road from the nearest urban centers. It offers straightforward access and typical Algarve conditions suitable for beginner to intermediate divers. Expect clear to moderate visibility, generally calm seas, and a nearshore topography featuring rocky patches and sandy patches with a mix of Mediterranean flora and common Western Atlantic/Mediterranean fauna observed around the Algarve. Depths are shallow to moderate, with a gentle slope suitable for relaxed swims along the coast. The site is often used for training and drift dives from local operators, depending on tides and conditions.
