Tarpon Springs
Tarpon Springs Florida
Tarpon Springs is a laid-back Gulf Coast diving area known for its sponge-diving heritage and easy access from the towns of Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor and Dunedin. The site area offers shallow to mid-depth wrecks, artificial reefs, and reef-like drop-offs typical of Florida’s interior shelf. Divers commonly encounter a variety of reef fish, mullet, snappers, and occasionally larger pelagics in season, with many sites featuring clear, warm water and gentle currents. Entry is straightforward from beach or boat ramps, making it suitable for both recreational and training dives. The nearby springs and scattered artificial reefs provide a relaxed environment for drift and wall dives within a short drive of the Tampa Bay area.
