Shark Bank

Shark Bank is a shallow to mid-depth site situated on the Seychelles shelf, offering a typical wall-to-sandy drop-off and clear blue water. The site features a gently sloping plateau at around 8–15 meters that transitions to a vertical wall dropping to deeper depths, with good visibility common in offshore Seychelles. Expect a mix of hard corals, urchins, and endemic reef life, plus common reef fish such as snappers, fusiliers, parrotfish, and angelfish. Currents can occur, particularly on tidal exchanges, so this site suits intermediate divers. Access is from nearby islands and beaches, with coordination through local dive centers in Bel Ombre, Vista do Mar, or Port Glaud for boat departures. This site is well-suited for photography and for those comfortable with drift along the wall, while the shallower plateaus provide relaxed safety stops and easy exits.
