Bergeggi
Secca Del Banano
Secca del banano is a shallow coastal site off Bergeggi in the Ligurian Sea. The secca (submerged rocky ledge) typically yields calm conditions with good visibility, making it a suitable option for beginners and fun dives alike. Expect a sloping to flat topography with fingers of rock and patches of rubble. Typical Mediterranean species in this area include groupers, damselfish, wrasse, and moray eels, with bays and channels offering shelter for small fish. Access is straightforward from nearby beaches or local pontoons, and entry is usually a short descent from the boat or shore depending on daily conditions. Given its proximity to Bergeggi and Spotorno, it’s commonly combined with local coastline sites for a relaxed half-day dive itinerary.
