Bergeggi

Secca Bibiz

Secca Bibiz is a shallow, coastal seamount near Bergeggi in the Ligurian Sea. The site sits on a rocky outcrop that drops to moderate depths with relatively gentle current, making it suitable for entry-level to intermediate divers. The top of the seabed features scattered rubble and patchy coral growth, with a wall-like feature that descends into blue water. Expect typical Western Mediterranean life: groupers, damselfish, wrasse, octopus, and transparent pelagic species skimming the edge in calm conditions. Access is easy from the nearby shore or local dive centers, and visibility can vary with sea state. This site is best combined with visits to the nearby coastal towns of Bergeggi, Spotorno and Savona for a convenient, day-trip dive in the Ligurian coast.
